AUTISM / ADHD - INITIAL PARENT CONSULTATION: APPOINTMENT INCLUDES: 1. A TELEHEALTH DISCUSSION WITH PAUL NEWCOMBE (Paediatric Occupational Therapist) about your child’s current needs and concerns. 2. WHAT IS HAPPENNING at home, school, preschool, daycare, or in the community. 3. DAILY ROUTINES including sleep, dressing, toileting, mealtimes, transitions, play, and independence. 4. EXPLORATION OF SENSORY PROCESSING NEEDS such as sensitivity to noise, clothing, food textures, movement, touch, or busy environments. 5. CURRENT BEHAVIOUR AND EMOTIONAL REGULATIONincluding meltdowns, anxiety, hyperactivity, impulsivity, aggression, or difficulty following instructions. 6. MOTOR SKILLS including handwriting, fine motor skills, coordination, balance, posture, and playground confidence. 7. DISCUSSION ABOUT THAT PARENTS HAVE ALREADY TRIED including what has helped, what has not worked, and what seems to make things worse. 8. INITIAL CLINICAL IMPRESSIONS about what may be contributing to the child’s difficulties. 9. PROFESSIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS about whether Occupational Therapy may be appropriate. 10. A CLEAR NEXT-STEP PLAN which may include assessment, therapy, parent coaching, a home program, school consultation, or referral to another professional. COST BREAKDOWN : NDIS hourly rate: $193.99 (20% DISCOUNT = $155). (a) Consultation Appointment (1 hour = $155). TOTAL NDIS COST: $155 (NDIS FUNDED). NDIS PLAN MANAGED : Invoice for service is forwarded to your NDIS Plan Manager. NDIS AGENCY MANAGED : Therapist enters services into the NDIS online portal. NDIS SELF-MANAGED: Therapist provides payment details at appointment. Or you can provide credit card details to pay over the phone at the start of the appointment. Therapist provides you with a fully paid invoice within 24 hours of payment (for you to submit to the NDIS for reimbursement).
